Poetry Festival

Welcome! This year’s Festival is all set to be an international and creative feast. We’re delighted to be hosting two special celebrations in honour of Charles Dickens’s 200th anniversary, some events as part o the Cultural Olympiad, and an evening devoted to the Olympic theme. We have teamed up with University of Birmingham to present an evening of poets ‘working with Shakespeare.’ Or, perhaps you’d like to take part in Poetry Sunday, when Stratford-upon-Avon comes to life with the sound of poetry? There are special talks, an evening in association with Amnesty International and a Poetry Mass. All this and a warm welcome to our very first writer in residence, Kapka Kassabova.
