Listen to ‘Cardenio’ in Conversation…

On Saturday, we welcomed an audience of around 80 people to The Shakespeare Centre to hear the R.S.C. director Gregory Doran (Honorary Fellow of The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust) and Professor Tiffany Stern (University College, Oxford, and Trustee of S.B.T.) talk about Cardenio.

They had such different things to say about this so-called ‘lost’ and re-imagined Shakespeare and John Fletcher collaboration, that I thought you’d like to eavesdrop on this event, which it was my pleasure to chair.

In a new departure for bloggingshakespeare, I have decided to make this conversation available world-wide. I am interested in your reactions to both what is said and the conversation as a record of a live event here at The Shakespeare Centre, Stratford. Would you like us to make other events available in this way?

It lasts about 47 minutes, so you might want to make up a glass or a cup of something delicious before you sit back and listen…
